Am scos de la cutie un mix ceva mai vechi (2008 sau 2009, sfarsit de 2008 inceput de 2009 – chiar nu mai tin minte, pe acolo). Toata treaba e un exclusive Techno facut cap coada din piese care mi-au placut maxim la vremea respectiva – cand mai aveam timp si chef sa dau un digging dupa netlabel-uri si alte cele 🙂 Mixul n-a mai iesit la momentul respectiv ca promo. Mai mult, daca ma gandesc, pana acum vreo luna l-au avut fix 2 sau 3 persoane inafara de mine. Am decis totusi sa-i dau drumul la o ascultare pana la urma. Enjoy!

Tune of the Day: Octa Push – Dubshh
This one out here mainly because Octa Push tends to increase his crazy motherfucker reputation release after release. Sick dancefloor tune, loving the variation on it. Somewhere between Dubstep, Techno and a sort of UK Funky. This is probably what L-Vis 1990, Headhunter, Zomby and Caspa would produce together if they were to be up for a collaboration. Haha.
Tune of the Day: Four Tet – Love Cry (Joy Orbinson Remix)
If I haven’t praised Joy Orbinson’s work enough so far, I will now cause his latest remix is coming directly from another planet! A rework on Four Tet’s Love Cry that’s taking the idea or contemporary electronic music warp speed into a next next next level. Absolutely into this one!
Tune of the Day: Untold – I Can’t Stop This Feeling (Pangaea Remix)
Fresh on the market this one, although it was on rotation in a couple of mixes for FACT, Fabric and so on for quite some time now. Anyway, a full on remix from Pangaea taking interest in one of Untold’s anthems, showing the state of affairs around Garage & Techno influenced Dubstep sounds today. And what I can say is just that I will drop this one shamelessly whenever I get the chance. Dig.
Top 10: 31 July – 13 August 2009
I’m back after a couple of weeks absence with the (let’s hope) regular top 10. ‘
This one marks the beginning of a new era in the DJ-ing business for me. The beats commonly known as “dubstep” – the wobble, jump-up get hype, low frequency business hit a dead end for me this month, when I realised that from the past 3 months releases I could pick exactly 2 tunes that I would actually like to play in my sets. Unfortunately the genre in my opinion is going to start it’s downfall very soon, from the productions quality point of view. Also the local dubstep parties are starting to lose the spark they had in 2-3 years ago when we started the whole biz and even that certain something that was making the vibe unique just a couple of months ago. The genre seems to have overpromoted itself, the promoters out here are more and more diverse and unfortunately that kind of did the trick for me. So from now on it’s gonna be, in this particular order, all about UK Garage / Future Garage / Techno and Dubstep if it fits between the first three. Change as some black guy would say.
